IRANOL Company was successful in domestic production of Marine Engine Oil for the first time and in collaboration with PETRONAS Co.
As reported by the public relations and advertisement department of IRANOL Company, the first Marine products jointly manufactured by IRANOL Company and PETRONAS Co. were launched at the presence of IRANOL managers, along with Quality Control, Research and Regional Managers of PETRONAS Co. on the sidelines of the Iran International Marine Industries Exhibition.
Their common Marine product was tested and confirmed by PETRONAS Co.; the foregoing company has therefore announced these products to be equivalent to their counterparts, manufactured by PETRONAS Co. and featuring certification from WARTSILA and MAN, from the quality point of view.
With reception of confirmation from PETRONAS and mention thereof on jointly manufactured products, all the ships using these products may discharge the foregoing equivalent products at every port around the world, henceforth.
IRANOL is the first manufacturing company of lubricants that has succeeded in domestic production of Marine Engine Oil featuring international confirmations.
Eng. Ali KAZEMI, marketing, sales and exportation director of IRANOL Company stated: "This formed agreement between IRANOL and PETRONAS has been concluded towards state general policies in the domain of resistive economy, job creation and prevention of foreign currencies' outflow, through prevention of an outflow amounting to $40,000,000 against importation of such products. Moreover, production of grease along with engine and industrial lubricants in collaboration with PETRONAS Co. is on our agenda as well."
Additionally, Eng. AZIMIPOUR, managing director of RAVANKARAN EHYA SEPAHAN Company mentioned: "This company, one of the subsidiaries of IRANOL Company, is engaged in production of industrial lubricants, as well as lubricants for petrol and diesel engines, along with grease. Our company was selected to be the manufacturer of common products jointly manufactured by IRANOL and PETRONAS, and as of today (Dec. 14), after conclusion of the memorandum of understanding, we will have the ability to domestically manufacture marine lubricants. One of the most significant advantages of this event is enjoying possession of international certification of our common products, which enables all the ships with extraterritorial voyages to benefit from this advantage.
It is worth mentioning that PETRONAS Co. is one of the largest manufacturers of various lubricants in the world, producing and selling almost one billion liters of a wide range of engine, petrol, diesel, industrial, turbine, transformer lubricants and grease, giving it the highest share of the European market. PETRONAS Co. provides various products confirmed by Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) such as Mercedes Benz, BMW, Renault and Peugeot; furthermore, it manufactures one of the most frequently used lubricants in vehicles of Mercedes Benz and BMW.
