Iranol Company at a Glance
A result of privatization and liberalization, Iranol Company was formed in 2003, owned by private shareholders, with two lube oil refineries in Tehran and Abadan; which were being originally part of NIOC’s Tehran and Abadan Oil Refineries.
Abadan lube oil plant which was came to operation in 1954, was the first lube oil plant in Iran.
Tehran Lube Oil plant started operation in 1974. This plant has been designed to produce both engine and industrial lubricants.
Tehran plant consists of:
-PDA unit for producing Bright stock
-Furfural unit
-MEK Dewaxing unit
-Hydro finishing unit
-Blending, Canning and Packing Unit
Feedstock (Vacuum residuum and Lube cut) are supplied from the adjacent crude refinery.

Iranol Oil Company annually produces more than 600,000 cubic meters of products
including: Different kind of Base oil (SN-150 and SN-600), BR ST, PDA TAR , RPO, slack wax , petrolatum, that about 250,000 tons are Base Oil (SN- 150 and 600 ). Annually about 150,000 cubic meters of base oil is used to produce finish product (all type of automotive engine and industrial oil), and produce about 200 type of engine, diesel and industrial oil that assign about 26 percent of Iran’s markets. Also the company has a unit for producing all type of Engine oil, industrial oil and grease in Isfahan city.
